Policies

Deprecation Policy

As the cloud services are developed there maybe a need to stop supporting certain APIs. With each cloud release notice may be given to indicate if APIs will not be supported in future releases. This notice will indicate which software release the API will not be supported in. Typically, this will be at least 6 months notice. Where APIs must be deprecated due to legal or privacy reasons, shorter notice periods may be made.

Breaking Change Policy

Changes that involve adding new keys to existing APIs may be made at any time. Such changes should not affect existing clients. Removal of keys or entire URIs will be noted in Release Notes and 30 days notice will be given. In the majority of circumstances, APIs will be versioned to ensure backwards compatibility to allow time for clients to be updated.
